electric trolling motor

Does anyone have any feedback on the performance of engine mounted minn kota electric trolling motors?

I was running one on my old Hornet. They are good for getting around leccy only dams, but not as good as a bow mount for manouvering. You could have problems getting it deep enough into the water. They are designed for big boats which sit deeper in the water than most tinnies. I had to cut mine down to make it work on the Hornet
