Hi guys - I'm back!8-)

I have an issue with some seals I recently purchased.

I was supposed to have a pre-cut seal (LHS and RHS) for to hug bottom of powerhead and cowling.

This is as per parts catalogue.

The supplier send me 2 uncut seals that I do nto think will fit even if I do cut them.

The supplier said they can't do much else except "try and cut to suit" - I know this won't work.

The seals came wrapped in a stapled cover with it's correct part number.

I have sent them back to supplier and wondering if I should claim a refund and go elsewhere...? >:(

Here is the pici.

BTW - They sent me 2 whole seals and not 2 half seals.

HELP>???

If the part number on the parts you recieved is right then they proberly have the wrong engine. They don't even look the same.

I dont get it.

BRP catalogue states part number 0332876 for this model Johnson. I receive these parts with this part number stapled around them.

How can the wrong engine be used?

They could have another engine which uses the same part number, or more likely
some body has put the wrong parts in the right bag.
Try another dealer and e-mail a photo of what you want

Thanks for advice SRAT.

I shall do this. I'll claim a full refund and go elsewhere.

Not happy with this Brisbane supplier who I decided to try just this once - never again.

where to from here?

IMO forget about it or buy some rubber sheet and scissor some for yourself or get at it with sika, it's nice to have one of these gaskets in as new condition but the potential for any problem to arrive as a result of one being a little dicky over any any 10year period is slim. IMO Splash go fishing and forget about it.

cheers fnq
