I am posting this up on behalf of the DPI &F.

This is NOT a post that requires too much feedback, either you're going or not. Simple.

Getting the
message across!

Are you a recreational fisher? If so, the
Department of Primary Industries and
Fisheries wants to hear from you.

We are holding a series of think tanks throughout Queensland in
April to discuss how we can communicate more effectively with
recreational fishers like you.
We want to know what sort of fishing information you want and
where you go to get it.
Numbers are strictly limited so make sure you RSVP soon to reserve a spot.

Thanks Phil. Unreal. When I applied for a job with DPIF on numerous occassions they asked me the same question and I told them, go out and talk to the community via clubs, etc. Never got the job though, I'm too old and over qualified.

I'll attend the Brisbane one

I live in Hervey Bay,I guess I'll have to drive to Caloundra or Rocky then or maybe they don't want our thoughts in their tank.obviously organised by the usual suspects.

The EPA could learn about public consultion from the DPI&F. That is if they are interested in user groups honest opinions. Make sure your voice is heard and get along to the meetings.

Lube yourself up before you go guys. It still amazes me that rec fishers keep going back to get shafted again & again. it's a bit like battered wife syndrome. sad really. anyhow have good feed it's about all you'll get.
