Easter boaties (non-locals) should be aware that this bar is in bad condition and is not improiving.
It is very shallow atm.... esp at low tide .....with less than 1 metre in some places & is breaking pretty much right across the mouth.
Buoys have been put in place to show the safest passage but extra care should be taken as a number of bigger boats have hit bottom recently.
If in doubt talk to the local Coast Guard boys.
It really needs to be dredged ASAP.
