I got some smoke fireline in 14lb,i wanted lighter but that was the lightest and it was 30% off so why not, going to put 4lb mono leader on it but will it be enough, hopefully i still catch some bream on it, any information appreciated

14lb Fireline will be too stiff to throw small Bream lures etc. I use it on a TSS4 throwing slugs or Raiders. Keep it and use it on an outfit that is more apropriate

the 14lb will be too stiff for light bream lures until you "break the line in".
I have a symetre 2500 with 14lb fireline on it and its well and truly broken in but is only just marginally good enough to cast light bream lures.

IMO to hard to see on the water & a bit heavy for bream ..... I found it lost its coating quickly to !!! Flame green is my choice in 6lb............

Won't be fantastic but it should be okay, just remember the heavier the braid the stiffer they are !!!

You break the line by using it until it loses most of its stiffness. I have also "broken" a line using a wire straightener from Do-Bro. Run the line thru the rollers making it go the long way and wind it onto the reel under tension. This significantly softens the line.
