Picked up an alloy boarding ladder this week. Thanks Bill(Vitamin Sea).

Whats the best thing to use to clean it up before installing.

Or just hit it with a bit of wet and dry and dont worry about a shine.?

No Not going to paint.

Its in decent condition. Has that faded tinnie look if you know what I mean.

Probably cant get a shine back, Just Something to take the "water marks" out.

Hard to describe. Just get it back to the one shade of grey.

A good thick pair of rubber gloves, superfine steel wool and some "Septone Ali Brite aluminium cleaner". Will brighten it right up and take most marks out. Can get it from most automotive (large) stores.

Go to woolies and buy the steel wool, with the detergent in it type. soak it and scrub away, then wash off. It is used by some people who make bull bars.
