ON A GOOD TO FAR DAY I HAVE FISHED WIDE CALOUNDRA / MURPHY'S REEF / A FEW kms OUT SIDE SOUTPORT SEAWAY ETC. BUT ON A GOOD DAY WOULD AND WILL GO TO TANGALOOMA / MORETON. A LOT DEPENDS ON HOW CONFIDENT YOU ARE AND KEEPING AN EYE ON THE WIND ETC.

NO THE BOAT IS A STESSL IT IS 4.95m LONG AND THE MODEL IS A TRUCK. THEY HAVE EXTRA RIBS / BRACES ETC TO MAKE THEM STRONGER

MAKO CRAFT ARE NOW BEING MADE INSTEAD OF STESSL

Hey i have a stessl / makocraft estuary tracker 4.45m side con. 60hp 4stroke merc. I use it for dam, estuary, river and out arround the islands off Mackay, Hinchinbrook etc. I have had it out in some bad weather and aslong as you dont mind getting wet from spray and you are confident the boat handles it great. I even put the bow thru a wave in the Hinchinbrook channel, just turned on the bilge pump the boat didnt miss a beat. Very stable.

I have a 4.3 (4.5m LOA) Stessl tinny converted to a centre console with a 40 hp 2 st yamaha. Lots of different people who have fished with me have said how well it rides and it is fairly dry for an open boat. I regularly cross bars and fish offshore, up to 30 km from Southport Seaway. Can't comment on your hull, but I think 60 hp on a 4.3 would be more than enough power.
