Sounds like a good rig for where you want to fish, i have a similar style/size Quintrex and do exactly what you suggest, Mrs and kids for a fun fish in the creeks etc and some inshore action with a mate, what size outboard are you thinking 40?

I'am looking at a 40 or 50hp 4 stroke of any type should push it along allright.
