Hi all, I've been searching for a little while and stumbled onto your forum, I'm in Northern Vic (Swan Hill) I'm looking for a Bayou or Scanoe 2nd hand, would like to get one with some bits and pieces, but will look at anything, I haven't had any luck with the tradingpost or ebay,

Cheers

Fletch

They are available from time to time Fletch. Try Peppertown for a new one but be warned they are very expensive but very good. I have a very old Scanoe myself and its still a bloody good craft thats done litterally thousands of hours on the waterways and swamps and lakes in Qld. I will never part with it.

We are coming into the time of the yr to see them in the trading post and on ebay because the temperatures are dropping so keep your eye open.

You will also find that most specialist canoe/kayak places take trade-ins as well so keep in contact with those outlets for 2nd handers.

My Scanoe i bought 2nd hand but unused in 1980 for about 800 dollars then so in reality 2400 these days is quite good value. They are bloody near bullet proof and very hard wearing.

Good luck with finding one.

Jack.

Thanks Jack, I've been looking for a while, and am starting to lean toward new, price is the only thing holding me back at the minute.
