Who Knows the Reef Raider 500SF?

If I can every convince my Finance director to allow a boat upgrade, I was very impressed recently with the Reef Raider 500SF cuddy. Is anyone familiar with it? Does anyone own one? Package on offer is $29,990 with a 75hp Etec, sounder, all the gear. I have a question re: solid glass transom. Max HP for this rig is 75HP 4stroke, 90HP 2S. For a 5 mtr boat I would have thought Max H/P around 115HP, but there's limitations because of the "no flex" characteristics of a solid glass transom - or so I am told. I don't know enough about it, but no marine ply used in the construction of this boat is appealing, otherwise I was considering plate aluminium.

Will the 75 Etec be enough for this boat with a full 90 ltr under floor fuel tank? I wonder how she would perform with 4 big blokes and all the gear.......

But I am very sold on her, I wonder if anyone has any facts to share?

I think that it sounds underpowered. And i don't know a lot about them. But i had look at a allison fishmen 5 the other day and it was a great alrounder and they have full fibreglass stringers. Worth having a look at also don't go alloy they just don't have the ride and they never will. Good luck with the minster of finance they are hard work maybe some soft plastics for her birthday might get her sold.
