I've just seen in a mag the Daiwa Exceler and was wondering if anyone has used one before or has one to tell me if they are good and what price you got it at

mate there sposed to be the go havent yet used daiwa gear yet so really wouldnt know i think im selling them for around the $200 mark

well daiwa is a great brand for reels so i reckon they would be worth it if i ever bought one,i'll have to save up me money though

Yes mate I run about 3 different sizes in the exceler
never had a problem but like most beaters I keep the lanolin up to mine
Have landed some big tuna and dolphin with the 2500 and caught amazing taylor on the 2000 had them for about 4 years
very good piece of kit

AFAIK they compare to the shimano symetre. But I could be wrong

personal oppinion IMO stick with a brand you trust.

I paid 150 for a 2500. It is still only new and has seen just dam fishing to date but it handles a 52cm bass with ease.

Greetings all!

There has been a fairly recent thread comparing and voting for the Exceler vs the Stradic. Seemed much of a muchness although one post slagged off the Exceler drag for not being able to cope with Mackeral.
