haines hunter 580 feedback positive/negative

g'day fellow ausfishers, very close to purchasing second hand 580c,just looking for positives or negatives in regards to this hull type/best size outboard to suit would be appreciated.thanks Brent

The 580C is a great hull. Handles rough water very well, reasonably dry and great for offshore fishing.

They are a long and narrow hull, so can be a little tender.

They still pull good dollars.

Hi brent very overated i went out on one the oher day with a yamaha 150hp 4 stroke. I found that at rest it was very unstable. The only thing that was good was how good the yamaha went. Regards mark

thanks guys, boatboy thats the one i've been looking at put offer in at 22 and has been accepted,have just had mechanic look over engine compres on 5 is approx 115 but 6th cylinder is down to 102,Bob from satisfaction marine is going to get head plate removed to see if any signs of problems,would appreciate if anyone had any thoughts on this issue,everything else is fine and i'm very happy with Bobs approach and service.thanks Brent
