Stopping Rats & Mice

There was a post last week on problem with rats in the boat,eating wiring.

Best way to deter them is with eucalyptus.Put out som rags with it on,in different parts of the boat.

I put the rags on a lid,to stop contact with the boat.I guess it would be OK on carpet,but nave not tryed that .

You will have to renew the eucalyptus,over time.
Works well in the house as well,if you have pesky mice.

the traditional way of stopping them eating car engine wiring was to leave the bonnet up.

Same could apply to boat motors, but watch out for wasps and native bees

Talon is the go, they bayer product is close behind....... but always make sure there is a supply of clean clear water in the open when you use rat bait.

The little buggers get a raging thirst & have a better chance of dying in the open on the way to water.

The method I posted,is not a killer,as such,just a deterent.
Put the Talon,outside the boat,not in it
