Hey im just wondering if i can constantly have my 10 amp solar panel consistanly charging my 12 amp battery while its sitting at home for the week not getting used, would it do the battery any harm by over charging it.

If you dont have a regulator chances are it will cause damage. A single week on a solar panel probably wont cuase much damage, but just remember it is not good for it.

I presume that panel is actually a 10 WATT panel???
If so, with usable sunshine, I would say it would be ok to be permanently attached...??

Basic solar regulators are cheap as chips..... like $20 to40 for somthing about that size, so its not worth taking the risk......get your self down to jaycar or where ever, & remove the cause of worry.

They are easy to wire and prety compact.
