450 hornet advice

thinking of buying 450 hornet tournement trophy[quintrex]any feed back good or bad would be appreciated and what sort of poundage for bow mount electric

have the same rig. 55 lb Minn Kota is fine. Runs all day and then some more on about 100 Ah battery.

If you can afford it ... go up to 74lb!(24 volt) ...... Nothing better than having the power in reserve ...... or to drain less charge ( you wont need to run it flat stick)

If you plan to use the boat in conditions that may include high winds or strong tidal flows ...... or you want to do a lot of trolling on the leccy ...... you will see the significant benefit of the bigger leccy.
While a 55 is what are typically is fitted to a 4.5M ...... I know guys that wish they had chosen bigger ( Including one with a 4.35 tiller Hornet).

I run a 74 on my 480 Hornet ...... & its just perfect ( keep in mind that there is not too much difference in weight between a 450 & 480! (18kgs) & I usually only fish 1 or 2 .......
