merc 80 blue band with stuck propeller

hi all, i had the misfortune of one of my boats moring ropes braking and the motor sustained a little damage to the propeller from hitting the jetty all night, ive managed to locate a replacement but i cant get the old prop off! its an alloy prop with a boss of some discription which has the splines in it, this boss does have a large crack from one side to the other, i made a puller to get behind the prop (from the exaust openings) and pull but still no luck! it has been soaking in wd40 for 2 days, am i missing somthing? any help or advice would be greatfully recieved. cheers Greg

Have you tried placing a piece of timber behind it and giving it a good whack????
It may help loosen it.

Not uncommon this problem.

Put an angle grinder through it. If a puller wont get it you have no alternative.

wow, thanks for the supper fast replies, ive tried the lump of hard wood and hammer, also tried the hammer whilst the puller was on, looks like i might have to cut it off then. thanks again Greg.
