Hey Matt. A mate of mine has the 5.5m centre console and says he loves it. I haven't been in it myself so i can't say what it's ride is like, but looking over the boat it looks to be pretty solid though.

Mate of mine in Yeppoon has one and is very happy with it.

Rides well, strongly built, heaps od storage.

They're on my short list if I ever get that sort of $$.

Matt, I own a G.S Marine Extreme 550 as displayed in your piture. I've got a 140Hp Suzi on the back. The boats are a product of the NT.

They are as tough as nails and love the NT waterways. I use it Barra fishing and out wide of Dundee Beach.

The 550 has a nice ride and handles most things thrown at it.

Why Not,
Thanks for your reply, what sort of top speed are you getting with 140 and what sort of fuel consumption are you getting? The one in the photo is doin about 54mph and averaging 2nm to the litre does this compare with your boat.

Matt I swing a 21 in prop off the back of mine and she tops out at approx 6400RPM at 60-65 km/hr not mph. I have a 19 in I use for trolling for barra. It drops me approx 5 km/hr off the top speed.

Fuel is pretty good. I hit the Perons from Dundee last year and round trip was 200km. I used approx 90 lt. There was a lot of chasing Mac Tuna and trolling involved also.

I normally sit at 4000 RPM as this seems to be the sweet spot for my set up with the 21 in on the back.
