Standard Horizon is top notch stuff. I have seen the screen on the 500 and it is very impressive. You will like the joystick operation and the softkey operation. It makes the SH's nice and easy to use. Best warranty in the business. They are compatible with C-Map MAX Charts.

Vertex Standard are the company. They make the reknown Yaesu brand of Amateur radios, as well as Land mobile and Marine radio's.
Pat is right with the warranty. 3 years.
