Seen the add on TV for these boats, they look like the famed US Sea - V hull, looks like we finally have a fast offshore fishing boat being built in Oz at the gold coast.

I would buy one but the question would remain, would I power it with twin Zuks or twin E-tecs.......

G'day

Been around for a bit...

Nice lines, clean and tidy.

Detailed a 34' last december....... and to be honest, the finish left alot to be desired

It is a flop of a Sea Vee hull. There are a few of them around and have been for years. The one in the TV add with the black and white alternating striped padded coamings was put togther by Danny Simons the ex president of the Gold Coast Gamefish Club.

i thought they were another flop off the Formula 233 and they had been doing them for a little while ?

They look pretty good, what makes them a flop ???

julian1, I agree.
Have a look at these two pic's and spot the difference in the running suface.
I know the planning strakes slightly differ.
Deffinently the same pedigree I'd say

thats quite ironic as that blue Edencraft 233 in that pick is my old one, just before all of the stainless work was done !!!
its a small world

Definately Sea Vees. I could probably find an old Bluewater article if I looked on them. Bluewater mag set one up that started out with twin Fichts then they repowered with Hondas. Over many issues they did all the fuel figures and all the prop sizing etc. with Solas etc., etc. It is now living at Hervey Bay.

On the Sea Vees there are two running around locally that I know about. John Louis from the Sunshine Coast had one called Coaca that sported an inboard Cummins and then there is one called Crazy Horse that is the tender to one of the Cairns season mother boats. Can't remember which one. Maybe Bali Hai or The Boss. You often see Crazy Horse on the outside fingers of Marina Mirage at the Gold Coast. It is the grey one with the black bumper strips down the outside Police boat or Coastguard style.

I'm pretty sure Ron Campbell builds those, i've seen the 25ft mould. Sold them as a Spearfish 25. I had a look on at 25 Deep V at the sanctuary cove show 2 or so years back.
