Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a 10 - 12 foot tinny with a motor under 5hp on the back with a trailer. What do you think is a good price for one with a good running motor and a good condition trailer and tinny for a 12 year old...

keep saving, have $1000 spare...... I know it may seem a lot at your age but once you crack that "milestone", the rest will flow. can you go halves with a mate, a brother, cousin or parents?

well i got my 3.4m fibreglass hull on a homemade trailer with an '83 suzi 5hp motor for $950. I probably spent an extra $700 on fitting it out with a sounder, basic safety gear and lights etc, so take tha into account too. Plus will need boat rego if motor is over 4hp and trailer rego etc (that will be about an extra $150ish).
