I don't know if you made a typo or not but Honda's closet size motor to a 60 is either the 50 or the 75, there are 60's at all.

yam90, I could be wrong but I know that Honda dont do a 60hp motor. Maybe they did before and discontinued it now but i would check it out. As for the Honda I have the 50hp and love it, being a second hand motor I would if possible get it checked out buy a outboard mechanic to be safe. If it has only 165 hrs on it(genuinely) then that is bugger all for a 4st. Aslo make sure the services have been done.

good luck mate

Hi Yam90,

I've only heard great things about the 50. Been around for donkey's years.

Should probably still have warranty. Honda are 5 yrs now but I don't know when that started.

The 50 has carbs so is therefore not efi in case you were expecting it to be.

As Bin455 says get a pre purchase check by a Honda service/dealer. Costs a few $ but well worth it for peace of mind. I did this with my Yamie and the dealer did all the transfer of warranty paperwork on the spot.
