Hi all

Ive been away for a while so i havent posted. But just after christmas i finished my first rod. It's a heavy surf rod build on a Snyder FT5162 which has been ferruled to be 2 piece. it turned out well and there were no problems. Ill be posting some pictures soon. I used speed thread black and red in C grade and fuji bnhg guides because they are strong and can handle more knocks from rocks.

I'm using it with an Alvey 700 E5 with 30 lb platinum.

Cheers

Owen

That rod sounds like a weapon.
Yes mate it very addictive and my cook is really peeved with Roz and Phil and Stuart for introducing this past time to me.
Apparently nothing is getting done around the house anymore.

I'm also addicted to the Snyder Glas blanks. There's just something about them.
