I have a seedy foot control on a Minn Kota Riptide SP 55, I have herd plenty of reports of the Foot Control failing so its no big deal.
I believe the Kota's have a 3 year Warranty, I purchased the leckie from Stones Cnr Marine only 3 months ago.
My question is should I by-pass Stones Cnr and return the foot pedal straight to BLA or go through Stones Cnr?
Also what has been the out come of people returning the foot pedals? Is it replaced or is it fixed and what sort of time frame am I looking at?

Captain ...... What is it doing ? ( or not doing)
Its not always the pedal ? ( Twice the Maximiser in the head unit has needed to be replaced ...... & you would swear blind that it was a pedal issue)

stears left and right no probs, the accelerator I guess you would call it is not working. You have to put all your weight on the pedal to get any response to the prop and then it is a little hit and miss. Yet you can flick the swith to AP and it powers on fine

My pedal failed,I took it back to sundown as I was going to awoonga,the guy(Justin)loaned me his pedal out of his own boat while mine was sent back to bla for warranty,it took about 2 weeks for a new replacement.
Sad to see sundown gone.

I have herd the pedals go belly up quite often, the new model is supposed to be bullet proof. I dont want to be with out a pedal for a couple of weeks

Then i would suggest giving BLA a call as you have sugested,cant harm to call them and have a chat.I have spoken to them regarding other issues with my minn kota and they were very helpfull.
