Can Anyone Give Me An Idea As To What Price I Should Pay For Navman 5500i Gps Second Hand Never Been Used And Still In The Box With A Spare Cable And Bracket

This Navman 5500i is the same as the Northstar 550i and they can be had new from the US for about AU$640 landed. Something to think about. The Navman's are about $950 new here though. I have the Northstar version and it works great. They are still made in NZ and have the same features including being able to use metric units (unlike my Raymarine!).

Does it come with any maps or a fuel transducer? These are quite expensive (but useful) items to add to the unit.

I to have a 5500i mine is an 04 model its been in for repair twice and its starting to play up occassionaly , if it plays up again its going overboard and i am buying a garmin this is just my opinion ....matt

I have to agree with you bluefin,i had one of the older gps,i think it was the 500i and the tri colour sounder.I had nothing but trouble with them,pixels droping out and condensation forming inside the units.Unless they improved i`ll never own another one.Just my 2 cents worth.
