Hi all.

What fish in the world would you like to have a chance of catching other then the one's we offer here in Aussie land?

There are lots of huge fish to catch like the giant Tarpon, Bonefish, Peacock Bass, Tiger fish, Payara etc.

Mine is the Massive Nile Perch, Just to troll Lake Nessa in Egypt would be something but to hook a 200lb barra look a like would be awsome.:)

Cheers TT

Black Bass in PNG or Tiger Fish. I would like a BIG Dogtooth but they are almost local

Another vote for black bass. Their just like a jack on some super human roids. A fish that can melt reels in the estuaries gets my vote every time.

It's something you wouldn't forget.
A Tarpon down in the Keys would get your heart thumping too!

A cut throat trout from a spring creek in Montana.

A rainbow trout from the Papuan Highlands.

my uncle caught a huge tarpon off the beach in Gabon (west coast of Africa). took him a couple hours to bring it in and was around the 5 foot mark.
that would be something that I would like to do (especially off the beach!)

1. Another vote for a PNG black bass.

2. Or a big ol' salmon from Siberia. They get monstrous up there.

3. Tarpon or bonefish in southern USA/Central America would be cool.

I would never leave Australia, absolutely no interest in any foreign fish.

Some pretty good fish in there. I'd like to try for the 50kg+ GTs as well, it would be awesome seeing something that size inhale a popper. Having heard a few of carl's stories from Trinidad and Tobago the massive tarpon also sound like a real handful. Hard to choose really.

That PNG black bass looks like a giant version of our smallmouth bass. I know how hard smallmouth fight and I can't even begin to imagine what fighting a black bass would be like. That's definitely on the dream list.

There is a fish from eastern Europe called a zander that looks like our walleye only bigger. As walleye are one of my favorite fish to catch, I think catching the larger zander would be interesting to catch too.

There are a lot of fish I'd like to catch from other countries but I've still a lot to catch from my own. Like flatty_assassin wrote, I'd also like to catch a big muskie. Those things drive me crazy. I once spent a good four hours casting a big heavy spoon trying to catch one and finally quit. I switched to trying for bluegill (a small fish about the size of your hand) and I kid you not, the first cast, a massive muskie came charging up from the depths and destroyed my float. It hit the d@#n float!!! I switched to a big surface lure but it did no good. It was gone. The float was completely destroyed. Most of it was gone but what was left had huge teeth marks in it. Another time, I was fishing in a river right in a dam and I think I had a large muskie hit. I was targeting smaller fish and the hook was no match for so large a fish. It pulled straight and came out. So yeah, I still have muskie on the list.

Roosterfish for me. Seen a few clips on youtube and they look like they pull really hard and look amazing. Ben

My choice of muskie wasn't all about power. Just seems like all the lakes they catch them in are so awesome to look at. A forty pound muskie would be a great fight in country like that. Stuff dreams are made of.

A black bass would be awesome to catch, but a 10kg Red off D.I. with my mates is 10 times better!

To see a day with the numbers of striped marlin they can release in the waters around Cabo San lucas in Mexico. Also 200-300lb tarpon on the flats or a rooster fish.

Sounds like Black bass are fav at the moment, I can see why they are simply pulling machines they test any bit of equipment right from hook up. I to would love to catch one of those and probably more do-able the egypt's big Nile perch
