humminbird 585 colour sounder,

Been thinking about getting one , they are a run out model but was curious if anyone had one and what are their thoughts on it.

Save your money, its hard enough getting a current model sounder serviced. Buy a run out model and your asking for trouble you don't have to have.

Humminbird finally got their act together when they bought out Zercom. This current crop of Birds are pretty good tools.

The Humminbird 585 is a current model, it is not a run-out or discontinued model. The 585 was part of a 500 series promtion recently & was probably advertised at a discounted price by dealers to reflect the promotion.

They are fully servicable, retain full warranty & Aust purchased units can be repaired in the usual 72 hours.
