Hi Team.

I want to earth around 4 termianls attached to wedling cable guage wire in my boat.

What is the best way to do this?

Is there some sort of earth bank with 4 studs I can get?

try your local electrical wholesaler for a busbar.alternatively you can get an engineering shop to drill and tap a piece of brass then mount it in a junction box

THanks.

What is a busbar?

Why brass?

How thick does this brass have to be?

What is a juntciton box?

Mate you can just use a staino bolt through about 10mm thick plastic.
Just bung all the terminals on the bolt and tighten a nylux nut on top and jobs done.
Make sure the back of the bolt is insulated though.
Any auto-electrical place would be able to sell you a proper insulated stud or terminal block.

Try Haymans, CNW, Cetnaj, Turks, any electrical wholesaler, ask for a small neutral link.
This is an insulated rectangle of brass with multiple cable entry holes, with tapped screws to keep the cables in place when you tighten them.
You can get links with or with out pvc covers, the choice is yours, neutral links will come with black pvc mounting feet to seperate the brass from whatever your mounting to.

Piccy of a larger link with out cover, best I could find in short time, you can buy all differant size links to suit your cable sizes

Which one of these is best recommended for thick welding cable and appropriately sized terminals?

As a side note matey...they're bonding links not earthing links.

Just thought..if this is for your dual battery setup all the negative wires can be joined on the negative terminal of one of the batteries. ie the negative to the other battery, the negative to the motor and the negative/s to the auxiliaries.
Saves a lot of hassle and expense.
If the battery is a round lead terminal get one of those battery terminals with the stud on one end or if it's a bolt type terminal bung them all together and put the nut on.

Mate, did you see the reply I did about the dual battery setup??
There's an easy trap there for young players to watch out for.
