Well im on holidays ;D now so i have finaly got a chance to start my front deck in my mako 4m heavy duty dinghy . i am making it with a dry section up front and 2 storage areas underneath , 1 for the anchor and 1 for the jackets and misc. Heres some pics let me know what you think and feel free to give me any ideas you may have that might help .

then i cut a divider , it will be supported by angle once it has all been sealed . 17760

17764 then i screwed bolted and siliconed some 50mm angle to the seat and the ply that is bolted to the boat , so i can pop rivet the rails to it .

17765 then i cut the floor panels out its in two peices because i did not have a big enough peace to do it as 1 peace . all the doors are made out of the off cuts , and were cut 8 mm smaller then the hole to allow for carpet thickness .17766

Now i just have to undercoat all the ply and two pack it so it is ready for carpet , than i can put it all back together and fit the doors . my son is already calling it his deck ::) , so i think i will have to start my back deck sooner than later or i wont have anywhere to fish .

thanks mate i painted the ply today , i primed all off the ply and than 2pac the top and sides , i read on another fit out thread that it is good to leave the bottom with just primer so any moisture can get out . now i just have to wait till the morning for the paint to dry so i can start fitting the carpet and hinges i got today and put it all back together .

i have a drop in floor which is ok but my unkle has made his by puting 30mm u track between his ribs and then cut the floor out of 2 pieces so he can still take it out for cleaning his is alot stronger than mine so i might be up grading eventuly . i can get some pics if you are not sure on what i mean .
