Does anybody know if it's possible to obtain coordinates on Google maps?

Wife has a Tom Tom thingo which you can key coordinates into, but I can't find any coordinates on the Google maps.

We're going to a place about 24klms from Warwick on the Killarney road. Have the map printed out, but no coordinates.

Any help?

Thanks

Not sure about google maps, but you can get the cooridnates rom google earth.
Have you tried the combination overlay in google maps that overlays the satellite images as well ??? Just clutching at straws ??

I've been successful in Google Earth by putting a placemmark (Picture of a

thumbtack) on the point I want and then right clicking and selecting "Properties".

Comes up with the GPS coordinates for that spot.

I would'nt rely on it to get me past some rocks etc but it is OK for plotting to get into a general area and then use the Sounder to get the exact location.

Thats what I do poly.
TOL won't be using his sounder though, he is off on a road trip, so the coordinates will work just fine

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I'll have a fiddle around and see what I can come up with. I got the coordinates of the property yesterday when we were there, so I can have a play around.

Now that I know where to go, I can put the coordinates into the TomTom and see how good it is.
