I recently installed a Garmin 440s in my boat and I have been pretty impressed with the unit. I also got the G2 Vision mapping etc. Anyway two trips ago while heading home the sounder started playing up, and was reading 0 feet all the way. I thought that maybe one of the kids had kicked the transducer or something and didnt bother looking till We got back to the pontoon. All looks fine with the transducer. Anyway this weekend when we went out the sounder worked fine till we got about 5 mile off the southport seaway then it was back to the old tricks again. Now it is just reading zero feet. It scrolls accress the screen with stepping blocks, e.g small red block then a bigger block, then a bigger still block before going back to a small block again but all the time registering zero feet. I have cleaned all the growth of the transducer but it didnt seem to help. Im wondering if anyone has any ideas before I pay someone to come have a look at it
