hi all,
i have a 40hp honda with heaps of hours on it,
it has developed an oil leak, initially i thought it was the gearbox seal at the prop shaft, have replaced this once before, took the prop off and the seal looks dry, took the plastic shroud off (below enging) and the gasket between block and leg looks good, can't see any leaks,
my question, is there anywhere else the oil could be comming from?
it looks like engine oil and not gearbox oil
would like to pinpoint it a bit more before i go pulling things apart.
my mechanical knowldge extends to changing impellor and basic servicing, any help would be appreciated
