I don't think they are legal in Qld, other wise you would be able to buy them here. I seem to recall having to get them from Vic when needing them for research in Qld. Aquaculture guys can, but they have a permit/licence to do so. Call 132523 and ask the question. Cheers Pete

What the fyke's a fyke net?:-/

It a double funnel net (like a drum trap) with net wings to guide fish in - very effective where there is some current within a stream channel and highly illegal unless licenced (see attached).

If the net you are talking about has a pole either side and then filters down to a funneled net then I think I have one the father in law bought it over from Perth email bam44@optusnet.com.au if interested maybe I could take a photo to show you cheers:)
