Hey Guys,
Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences good or bad with either of these chartplotters? I have been doing my homework for two months on chartplotters and have narrowed it down to these 2. From the time that I have had to play with all the plotters on the market (within that price range) I have found these the easiest to use, with ease of use and affordability being the two stand-out considerations. I am running a Furuno FCV 620 if that helps also. Any help would be appreciated

Cheers Benny ;)

How do the prices compare?

The 5200C runs about $460 US and the CP180 $410 US. I think you probably add 8-10% to get to AUD right now.

Between those two units I think I would go with the 5200C. It has newer features not present in the CP180. One being the NMEA 2000 network compatibility. Both units will do the job though.

Thanks SS,
A mate runs the 5200C and likes it for ease of use. I thought the CP180 had better screen clarity and definition. I have heard through Ausfish that Lowrance wasn't what it used to be so I am still a tad reluctant to part money until some advice gets thrown my way. Are you able to supply either plotters for around that price? If so how much would shipment be and GST if applicable?

Cheers Benny
