Well, its time to replace the battery in the boat and was just looking for opinions/confirmation of my thoughts.
The battery will be used for starting my 50hp Mercury and running some basic stuff like a sounder, GPS, marine radio and the normal nav lights. I don't have a dual battery setup and athe moment its not an option.
I have done a search and come up with some very useful stuff, but just wanted to sound out peoples thoughts.
At the moment I am leaning towards a Sea Master M50 (585 CCA) but also looked at the Century Marine Pro 500 (500 CCA) .
Appreciate any advice you guys can provide.
Cheers

Dave

I have found the Seamasters to be good batteries that keep going

Mate The higher the CCA rating the better it is for cranking the motor over.

how much dearer are marine batteries over your standard car batteries?.

Not sure how much car batteries are, but just bought the Seamaster Gold maintenance free marine battery (M50) which has 640 CCA, for $150. I'm south of the border so I don't know how that compares up north but I thought it was reasonable!
