Whilst researching for my holiday to the highlands next June, I came across this:

http://www.stevecarter.com/

These are some of the best fishing grounds in the UK both freswhwater, (salmon and trout), and seawater (cod, skate, halibut, pollock and many others) Sea lochs and freshwater lochs side by side.

The photography is awesome! Pay particular attention to ” a photo a day for a year”. You can view them from thumbs or, if you like his images, you can even download them as a slideshow for free.

If you download the slideshow, the programme will give you an url to visit that will also allow you a free programme with which you can turn your own pics into a screensaver slideshow.

This guy is dedicated!

The panorama are superb. I could spend a week at this site and there are many links for car enthusiasts also!

Take a look also at TransporTed ;D

And there is also plenty of stuff for revheads

What makes it even more attractive is that wild camping is legal in Scotland and even encouraged to get the tourists up there. All persons (since 2005), now have a statutory right to camp. You can simply pull off the road in your camper and stay where you want as long as you observe the wild camping etiquette.

Don't forget to thank him.

Wow,kev, there are some beautifully taken landscape photo's there.
My favorite section however were 'the worst album covers".Some dead set rippers indeed.
Fortunately in Oz we do not have the population to warrant the "wild camping laws" that have been legalized over there.
I,personally, would detest having to work my ass off to pay a mortgage on some land only to have no control over who can roam or camp on it.
I'm afraid that when someone tries it on my place I set my dogs onto them,(and have)or I give them a good verbal spray and ask them to leave.
Show them a bit of good old aussie red heeler hospitality.http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/../yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default/wink.gif

Unfortunately I've recently had to install a padlocked gate to keep out unwelcome and unannounced visitors to our little piece of paradise(photo's below)

Beaut spot you have Disorderly, can't say I blame you for feeling territorial, damn sure I would too, though the dogs would be the last resort! Hopefully the locked gate will be suitable deterence!
Cheers!

Bumping this because I forgot to direct you to the slideshow. This guy set himself a goal of a picture a day to show the Scottish Highlands and coast in all its glory over the four seasons.

This url will take you to a page from where you can download the slideshow which you can use as your screensaver.............you will not be disappointed! :o When you download the slideshow (set to music) you will get details of how to obtain (for free) the programme that will allow you to use your own pics as screensavers set to music.

Everywhere I go I see signs saying 'Post no bills', yet every day in the post I receive bills from the the gas, electricity, and telephone company. It's just another example of one rule for multinational utilities and another for the rest of us.
