Latest notice to mariners mentions a PEL light

BRISBANE PILOTAGE AREA
LOCALITY: GIBSON ISLAND, BRISBANE RIVER
ACTIVITY: ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW PEL LIGHT


What is it???

Type of lighting system - PEL stands for Physics and Engineering Laboratory where they were invented.

What makes them different from other lights Greg?

They show a different colour depending on where you are looking at them from ie red and green.
