Just wondering does any one have any ideas on replacement brake cables.
My trailer only 6 months old and the brake cabe has started to rust. Should i go for stainless steel or just the normal cable and just treat it good. The rest of the trailer still looks like new as I coated it with Lanalan when new.
Many Thanks Steve

G'day
Best off to ask pete, G_M as this is his forte.
For longevity, go the stainless... but you may as well get your moneys worth out of the current cable.

Those standard brake cables seem to go rusty straight away, probably mainly surface rust. I used to spray mine with inox or similar and it never got any worse. I wouldn't replace it just yet, it should last for a few years.

I have been thinking about getting some 10mm stainless rod and bending & welding it to fit.
