Gday all
after a dissappointing trout season for the Lake http://sweetwaterfishing.com.au/Chat/Templates/Forum/default/angry.gifthe weather has finally started to warm up and so have the yellowbelly. With the lake at 28.5% capacity and holding the yellas have come on the chew, mornings seem to the best as the day progresses so does the wind which not only makes it uncomfortable to fish it seems to shut them down.So far this month I have managed a fish or two every outing with a 6lb yella being the biggest,I have heard some anglers getting up to 6 to 8 fish a session and there have been some thumpers with the biggest reportly 18lber and a 16lber on the same day, also a bycatch of a few cod with the biggest being a solid 18kg.The redfin have been a bit slow but they should fire soon as the weather warms even more.Currently the surface temp gets up to 18gegC and clarity is very good http://sweetwaterfishing.com.au/Chat/Templates/Forum/default/cool.gifSo hopefully when the Yamaha Lake Hume Classic is run on the 10th &11th all the fish will be in full biting mode and all who attend will have a fantastic time.for more details check out the web site at www.lakehumeclassic.com.au (http://sweetwaterfishing.com.au/Chat/YaBB.pl?action=dereferer;url=http://www.lakehumeclassic.com.au)
