hi guys,the morris marina and hemmant caravan park has to be vacated by the end of january 2008.not only does this put lots of park residents out of a a home,but it also puts the slipway,chandlery store and refuelling pontoon out of business,plus another steel fabrication shed ,lots of yachts and up to 20 trawlers,this site has lots of history including an aquarium and mini fun park from 1889 to 1893. this probably affects me more than most of the people on here because i have my trawler tied up there,and unfortunately theres not many places to go.the place has been going downhill for a few years now and was always changing owners so redevelopment was just a matter of time.i have heard that the reason for evicting the residents of the park was because the land has recently been reclassed as full industrial,but i think thats just an excuse as we are primary producers and not living there,anyway thats progress i guess.:'(
