Anchoring On Bommies

Have found several good bommies. Having great difficulty in anchoring on them exactly where we want to. Has anyone any suggestions how to position our boat?

It depends on what structure surrounds them as to the type of anchoring system to use. If clear sand/mud then a sand type anchor provides more control. If broken ground then a reef style pick is used but it can be more difficult to place correctly.
The best way I have found is to check your drift direction on GPS or with a marker bouy before steaming well up the line of travel, drop pick and let out enough line so that the target is still well behind you. Wind and current will have to be taken into account
