Hey Muddo,

Mate, tell him to keep the chin up.

I was in his shoes about ten years ago (as a 17 year old), my first boat stolen from outside my window. It wasn't insured either and had a new motor.

I ended up getting most of my gear back, and the episode only cost me about 1k. The guys that stole it are probably in jail again.

Ten years later, and i'm onto boat number twelve and couldn't be happier.

There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Regards

Darren

thanks darren, It's nice to know there are some good guys out there. The boat wasn't insured unfortunately. It is a pretty hard learning curve but he will keep his chin up and be out there fishing ,even if it is from the shore. thanx again, regards, maddog

Sorry to hear it wasnt insured... hind sight is a marvelous thing and at 20 with lack of funds and innocence on your side I guess you dont think some prick will rob your pride and joy. I hope they rot in hell.... and you get your son's boat back! No news yet I am guessing? Let us know if you hear anything... Good luck once again!.
