Accom near Teemburra Dam

Hi All,

Just trying to sort out accom for the abt barra tour and have never been down to teemburra. i know there is no camping at the dam so can someone please let me know where there is a powered campsite near the dam.

Have checked tourism sites and plenty of accom in mackay but want something a little closer of possiable.

Any info would be appreciated.

There is a small caravan park in Finch Hatton, It is about 25 mins up the road from Teemburra.

The pub at Pinnacle is 9 km away

A couple of options available, see Accommodation Qld (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/AccommodationQLD.htm) page.

Pinnacle pub is ok, but you might need to be quick to get a room if the ABT is comin' to town.

There's a caravan park at Mirani as well.

I'd say the Pinnacle is booked out, but maybe Garget Motel or the area out the back of the pub.
Dont eat there though, the Pinnacle has the best feed around, and the owners are bloody legends.

Just letting you know the Finch Hatton Caravan Park is no longer operating a mate went and checked it out a few weeks ago.
