G'day all, I have a slight problem with the light boardfor my boat trailer. Last week i went to remove the light plug from the 4B but in a rush I yanked a bit hard and ripped the entire wiring out of the plug. The plug was a bit worse for wear anway so I bought a new plug. I went to rewire it but the instruction on the pack dont match the colour of the wires. It's a seven pin but only five wires, points 2 and 5 dont apear to of had wires in them. The wires I have are blue, red, black, green and white. Does anyone know which colour goes to which number pin or should I just go through the process of elimination ?

This should help :)
But it would be a good idea to take the lenses off and see which colour goes to what.
Dodgy bros. again. No wonder people get confused ::)

Take your lights apart and see what colours go were then with fingas' diagram you should be able to get them going again.

But if for some reason the colours change get a 12V battery and guess the earth (out of the colours you have given i would guess black or white) then run through the rest of the wire to find out what light lights up. once again use fingas' diagram to find out what pin/ wires go together.

The colour code should have been marked on the box in the new one. Always has been with plugs I've bought.

I keep a copy of the colour code in my tackle box, just for such an occasion. (Happened to me once on Fraser Is - I won't get caught again!)8-)

I keep my copy under the lid of the tool box.
That's where I'm going to have to go to get the screwdriver :)

There is a colour code on the pack but the wires on the light board are different colours. I work it out by taking thr lenses off the lights and seeing which goes where.
