Hey Boaties,
Iam waiting on the arrival of my new 5 metre centre console Brooker and cant sleep thinking about fixing it out.
The Question I ask here is. The Boat comes with 3 box/bench seats with hinged cushioned lids for seats. Ihave asked the dealer not to fix the seats in the boat as I only want the twin seat behind the console when I'm fishing so I have maximum floor space. The only time the 3 seater will be in the boat is when the wife and son are allowed aboard for a social day.
I don't want to just screw fix them in as it will after a short while strip out the ply floor and eventually cause rot.
My idea was to somehow get plates made up that I could fix to the underside of the floor drill them then tap them for appropriate thread size. Making shore that I seal the drill holes through the ply.
If anyone has any other ideas that would work they would be most appreciated.
Cheers Nathan:D
