Has anybody fished @ Awoonga this week?

We are heading to Awoonga on Friday for a few days, and would like to know how the dam has been fishing of late, and if the water has warmed up much yet? Thanks,

Mick.. From Friday untill Sunday....It was real good ...From Monday there has been a few loong faces at the ramp....Fish are still being caught....But you have to find them....Lots of campers at Awoonga....and the odd boat.......yea right....Ramp rage is building every day.....

Thanks for the reply, Awoonga. We normally try to avoid the full moon and the crowds, but with this weekend being a long one for us southerners we just couldn't resist.

warm calm northerlies, full moon, you can't ask for much better than that, the dam is heating up nicely, the fish are feasting. It doesn't get much better than it is now. good luck, scott.

Yes the weather forecast looks exceptional at this point in time, so fingers crossed they are right.. Last october long weekend we managed 28 barra with 14 of them over the meter mark and at least 30 missed strikes, and this year the boss is tagging along with us so his expectations are high!
