can anyone tell me if these pfd's are legal
especially the red one

chubby they are $12.95 each. the red once doens't seem to say PDF1.

Yellow one appears OK, no so sure about the red one
it must say 'PDF type 1' on it

the red one is a "Solas" lifejacket (Safety 0f Life At Sea, International Convention) and has a higher rating than a PFD 1. Solas or Coastal jackets are used on commercial boats, to check if that particular jacket complies have a look here:
