View Full Version : f100 yamaha gearbox removal ?

howdy all

Im trying to get the gearbox off my F100 and it dosent want to play so im hopeing there is a hidden bolt somewhere.Ive loosened the 4 external nuts and the bolt on the inside that goes down thru the steering adjuster and its not budging.Any one have a clue.

Scotty - try the US Yamaha site. On the older models 2006 and b4 there are on-line parts manuals with diagrams. I think you have them all it may need an attitude adjuster ::)

You forgot to undo the bolt that is under the sacrafical annode.

Its not the gear selector coupling holding you up?

TRake the pastic bung out at the rear of the midsection and remove the sacraficial anode/trim tab.. underneath this is another bolt accesed from below...A sneaky one :)

thanx garry

so thats the small bolt thats under the anode going up?.I saw that under there but it looked like one of those bolts that if you undo it something bad happens.

Scotty,

just make sure you have another bolt in holding the G/box on or it may fsll off on you after undoing these bolts surrounding the trim tab plate.
