Maritimo 550

As most in Cairns would probably already know (front page Cairns Post), Maritimo's brand spanking new 550 game boat, caught fire yesterday off Mission Beach. The four crew were rescued unharmed. Sounds as though the fire started behind the entertaiment system, and quickly overcome the boat.
What a bummer :'( they were on their way up to Cairns for the season to show off this beautiful Aussie made vessel.

It can't be good for sales when your 2 million dollar demo boat catches fire & sinks while on a promo tour up the coast.

yeah what a shame.

and I was just gonna throw $2m on the table for one of these to tackle the bay.... :D

I'm sure there are a few of us on Ausfish that will have to find elsewhere to spend their spare $2m or so....:-/
