canopy care

hi every one ,is there any product that can be put on a canopy to prolong its life?

I put silicone spray on mine. Certainly hasn't hurt it, and certainly hasn't made it water proof either.

Hello,

I think it's best if it's kept out of the sun for most of its life. Good wash with fresh water and allowed to dry and then kept in the shade. THough I know of people don't have that luxury.

what about some of that waterproofing spray you can get for hiking boots from camp stores? might help keeping moisture out of the material.

I would imagine a hit with Armorall every now and then would keep it in good nick.
