Can anyone give me some advice on how I should seal my new Plywood Floorboards before laying the carpet? I am using 25mm Marine ply.

Cheers

Joe

Thanks jimbo59. I was tossing up between 19 & 25mm and decided on the later because the boat is only 5 years old and the flooring is gone in many places. I have a 6m, Quintrex, Centre Console

Joe no need to expend on marine ply.Its the glue thats important.
Buy 12mm structural ply from your local hardware.Has the right glue.

Treat the surface and edges with Lanolin grease. You can paint over that with oil base paving paint,or lay carpet,if you prefer.
Had mine down 7 years now.
